Good morning lovelies!  I just made a few of these pins for some coat-worthy Valentine’s cheer.  I used this pattern (link below), a simple one round heart.  Instead this time I made it chunky with some super bulky yarn scraps and my trusty N hook.  Try attaching one to a hair clip or headband too!

In the above picture, I made two and pinned them side by side, but one looks super cute too…

With the bulky yarn and N hook, these measure 2 inches across, versus 1 inch across with worsted weight and an H hook.

When you’re finished, just weave in the ends and attach a pin back either by stitching it on, or using a bit of hot glue or Fabri-Tac glue.  Sometimes I like to just put a simple safety pin on the back if I plan to use it for something else later.

In case you’re wondering, the darker pink is some leftover Lion Hometown yarn in “Honolulu Pink” and the lighter pink is some Wool Ease Thick and Quick in “Blossom”

Happy crocheting!

  1. Jennifer, I have been making these since I found your blog a few weeks ago. I'm going to send them in a heart tin to my daughter (college freshman) for her to share with her suitemates at school. Thanks for making them so easy <3
