The Pixie Dust Crochet Scarf is an elegant and artsy scarf that is crocheted lengthwise. A combination of double crochet and front post double crochet stitches give the scarf simple ribs, and makes a subtly textured scarf to show off the fun yarn. The yarn is actually four different types in one ball: a fuzzy cloud-like strand, a satin cord-like strand, a metallic sparkly strand, and a woolly twisted strand. The simplicity and soft color variations makes this scarf very versatile and unique too!

Beautiful 🙂 I was just looking at that yarn at the store and wondering what I could make with it. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks so much! I had a lot of fun using it 🙂
PS Love the project you are working on on your site today!! 🙂
Oh my gosh this is so cute! I made a cowl with this same yarn and it is okay, but not as cute as this. Definitely a great way to use this tricky yarn!
Thanks Sherrie! I think what made me first like it was that I think it would pretty much match anything you wear with it…those are the kind of scarves I seem to wear most! 🙂
¡¡es preciosa!! Gracias por compartir.
You are welcome…so glad you like it!
GORGEOUS! Love it so much. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks so much! 🙂
This is gorgeous. Do you have a hat pattern that would go well with this and use this yarn?
Good question!
I am currently making this scarf with a "J" hook, as prescribed in the pattern. No way is it coming out anything like the pictures. It seems like a much larger hook was used! Can you recommend a more appropriate hook size to match the look in the pictures? I'm going to have to start this project over!
I am having the same problem. Mine is only about 43" long, not 80".
greetings! I made this scarf with some leftover Noro I had in my stash. The yarn isn't varietgated in texture but has a lot of gradient coloration. Since there was no texture changes, I added some fringe for interest. I must say, the scarf turned out BEAUTIFULLY and worked up in just a couple nights after work. I think this will be one of my go to patterns for gifts. Thank you for sharing. If you'd like to see it, my blog info is here:

Just peeked at it on your site…beautiful! Great choice of yarn, love Noro!
I had trouble with the gauge, using the "J" hook. I ended up using an "L" and it came out more like yours, Mine was about 4"x60".
So glad you were able to make it work!
This is freaking me out, because I am coming out with 60" using a size J hook! This is a gift, my yarn just arrived and it was a week
late. That's why I'm freaking out at 60" instead of 80". I only was able to order 1 skein of this yarn, and I wanted the length to be 80". I'm afraid if I switch to a larger hook I will run out of yarn before completing the scarf.
I see a few comments here got exactly the same length chain that I did using the J hook. Is there ANY chance you measured the chain longer than it was? I'm needing to know, if its possible, before I can even continue any further.
In the video, your gorgeous scarf didnt look like 80". Any advice?
Does anyone know if this yarn is still available? Love the scarf and the pattern but can't seem to find the yarn. How about an alternate yarn? Thanks!
Is this yarn still available? Love the scarf, color, pattern! If no longer available, can you suggest an alternative? Thanks!
