Clean and Simple Bangle Bracelets!

I really love those instant gratification small projects, don't you?  They are perfect too in between larger projects when you need to gear up for the next crochet adventure!  The Clean & Simple Bangle Bracelets are easy peasy to make and an awesome stashbuster.  I made mine in earthy cool cotton, but feel free to experiment with sparkly yarn, variegated, pretty sock yarn, and anything else you can whip up.  So much fun!

Click the button below to add this to your Ravelry queue:

Click below to watch a full video tutorial or scroll down for written instructions:

Materials:
  • Wood or plastic bangle bracelets
  • Yarn of your choice (I used Bernat Cotton-ish in "Jade Jersey" & "Coffee Filter"
  • Recommended hook for your yarn--found on the yarn label (for my yarn I used a 4.0 mm G crochet hook)
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Scissors

Instructions:

Tie yarn onto bracelet form with a secure knot.  Reach into the center of the bracelet with the hook and bring up a loop.  Now you're ready to begin!

Work a single crochet all the way around the bracelet until there is no wood showing.  You may have to push the stitches over as you work.

When you get to the end, join to close with a slip stitch and fasten off.  Weave in the tail.  If the stitches are twisted (ridge formed from the single crochets you worked), you may need to straighten them out a bit.
