Fresh off the hook...Pumpkin Pie Brooch

Mmm pie...

Just finished this little number (seriously start to finish, no more than 30 minutes).  It is for my Thanksgiving hostess (I decided that if she doesn't want to wear a pie, I'll put a magnet on it to spruce up her fridge for the holiday).
Here's the pattern (Ravelry link below), It's a very easy to follow Lion Brand Pattern, I modified it a bit (OK a lot) (only 3 rounds instead of 6, and used dc instead of single, etc).  I like the shade of orange Lion used better, mine is a bit too terra cotta, oh well. I love the ruffled pie crust edge...yay Lion for such a cute pattern!


This little project has inspired another Thanksgiving idea...stay tuned!
