Happy National Crochet Month!

Did you know that March is National Crochet Month?  What a fun way to celebrate a beautiful craft that has captivated me since the very first time I picked up a hook.  I was a knitter first and then learned to crochet and was overjoyed to be taught by a real person (unlike knitting where I first learned from a DVD!)  My teacher was so sweet and patient with me and answered all of my questions, so it's no wonder I enjoy it so much!

To celebrate I'm planning on showcasing some crochet tutorials and posting some free crochet patterns during the month of March.  How will you be celebrating National Crochet Month?  Charity projects? Learning a new stitch or technique? Starting a new project?  Something else?

  3. Spring is my favorite time of the year to crochet. I've been making scarves in a textured stitch. Right now I'm working on a shamrock edging that I may use as a scarf. What fun!
