  1. Very pretty, would make a nice Prayer Shawl. Like the flat bottom as the pointed bottom on a shawl gets in the way for wheel chair patients. Will give it a try. Thank your for sharing and look forward to the video.

  2. Lovely!! One question though. Does one decrease a stitch at the beginning and ending of each row after Row 1 to create the slanted sides? Thanks !

    1. I figured it out on my own once I started crocheting. I've made two so far. Love the yarn!
      thanks

  3. I just wanted to say that I made 2 of these at the weekend and they turned out beautifully and were so quick and easy to do. For one I actually used a knobbly yarn which had proved difficult to work with and it was just the perfect pattern for using up this yarn. Thank you for all the wonderful patterns which you so generously share at no charge, I for one appreciate it very much!

  4. I very much like this shawlette and want to make one my own. I am struggling with the size. The size of 40 inches across top edge
and 26 inches across bottom edge given is it for the shawlette which goes around the neck and has the tassels showing on each side (as on the picture below the instructions) or is this size for the shawlette going around the neck only? Many thanks for a response in advance.

    1. I hope I am answering you question correctly…the shawl is worn with the narrower part at the bottom and the wider part around the neck. The tassels are attached to the widest points. If you'd like your shawl to be longer/wider, just work more rows, I hope that helps!

    2. Thanks much for your explanation, it helped much. I just need to do some more rows and then I should be fine. I love the shawlette, thanks.

  5. I'm making this right now! The tassels are the Perfect finishing touch. I'm using a solid colored yarn, but the next one will be variegated. Tour example shows off the colorway beautifully

  6. I am having one of those days where you start several crochet projects only to frog them, because of poor crochet instructions. I am thankful I can come here and know I will make it through the project with clear instructions and help, if I need it…. with Beautiful results! Thank you, Jennifer! God Bless You!

  7. Just wanted to let you know your pattern is still going strong! My little 8-year-old granddaughter has been asking for a shawl that was "her size" which meant not going down to a long point in back, and not so long in the top measurement too. I found your pattern yesterday and knew it was perfect for her. I began it last night, got ten rows done in short order, and will finish it up tonight. So beautiful and quick I'm thinking three other grandkiddos will be getting one for Christmas this year as well! Thank you for generously sharing this pattern!

  8. Thank you for this lovely pattern! I'm just finishing up one for my octogenarian mother for Mothers Day. I made it several inches longer to keep her shoulders warm. I'm going to make one for myself, too. Thank you again.

  9. Thank you for this lovely little pattern! It was just what I needed for a quick little 90th birthday minder. I had just one ball of DK weight yarn and searched high and low for a pattern to suit and this was perfect! I used a 5mm hook and it turned out beautifully! Thank you so much for sharing!
