When I shared my Pumpkins! roundup recently, I came across this adorable and easy pattern for a pumpkin headpiece from Calleigh's Clips and Crochet Creations. If your child has a stuffed toy that they take everywhere, this is such a cute little project to make for them. This pattern is also suitable for a small pet like a dog or cat too. Be sure to stop by her site, she has a photo of one on a cute (real) dog!
For this project I used Red Heart Super Saver in the "Pumpkin" colorway and the "Spring Green" colorway for the stem and curlicue.
It took a very short time to make and it was a big hit in our house! Calleigh's Clips and Crochet Creations also has instructions to make variations of the costume including a unicorn...so much fun!
