The Rainbow Love Legwarmers are and adorable and fun accessory for a little person. Worked up in the round in front post double crochet stitches, they are thick and cozy to keep little legs warm too!
Rainbow Love Legwarmers

Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn in rainbow colors (yarn shown is Red Heart Super Saver in: Cherry Red, Perfect Pink, Pumpkin, Bright Yellow, Spring Green, Turquoise, Orchid
- J (6.0 mm) crochet hook
- Tapestry Needle
- Scissors
Sizing As Shown:
- 7.5 inches tall
- 9.5 inch circumference
- (heart is 1.5 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide)
Instructions for Legwarmers:
Ch 28, join with a sl st in furthest ch from hook to make a ring. (Note: there is no specific multiple for this pattern, to make your legwarmers bigger/smaller around, simply make more or less chains).
Round 1: Ch 3 and work a dc in each ch. Join with a sl st to close round.
Round 2: Ch 3 (work the ch 3 as you would for a front post dc...see photo below...this will make it look like the other stitches in the round). Work a fpdc (fron post double crochet) in each dc. Join with a sl st to close round.
Repeat round 2 until legwarmers are 7.5 inches tall or desired height. I worked 18 rows of rainbow stripes. Proceed to "top edging" section.

Round 1: Ch 1 and work a fpsc (front post single crochet) in each dc from the previous round.
Round 2: Ch 1 and work a sc in the blo (back loops only) in each st. (note: photo at the top shows legwarmers with and without this round)

Instructions for Heart:
Instructions:
Chain 4 and join with a slip stitch to form a ring.
Round 1 (work all stitches into the ring): dc, tr, dc, sl st, dc, tr, dc, sc, sc, sc, tr, sc, sc, sc, join to close heart and fasten off.
Finishing & Assembly:
With a tapestry needle, sew a heart to each legwarmer. Weave in any ends that remain and you're finished!!
