The single crochet two together stitch or sc2tog as it is abbreviated in crochet patterns is a very common and easy way to decrease from two stitches to one stitch. Follow along step by step through the photo tutorial and be sure to check out the video tutorial below too. Happy crocheting!
To sc2tog, begin by inserting your hook into the stitch,
And bring up a loop (2 loops will be on the hook),
Next insert the hook into the next stitch,
and bring up a loop (3 loops will be on the hook),
Wrap yarn around hook,
And bring the hook through all three loops on the hook, you will now have just one loop on the hook.
