Chainless Foundation Stitch Library


We've been learning all about foundation stitches for the past few weeks...here is the complete collection!  Learning and practicing these stitches is so fantastic to know, it eliminates the need for all of those endless beginning chains.  Plus once you get the hang of it and increase your speed, you can simultaneously make a chain plus the stitch in one fell swoop!  Below are links to each photo tutorial, plus the full video tutorial for each.  Happy crocheting!

First up is the foundation single crochet (fsc):

Next up is the foundation double crochet (fdc):

And, the foundation half-double (fhdc):
