Looking to keep the kids busy before school starts? Here is a fun project that everyone can work on together that is super fun and easy. By the time fall rolls around, they'll have a awesome new scarf to wear to school!

Here's what you'll need:
- 3 balls of super bulky yarn in 3 of your favorite colors (I used Lion Brand's Hometown USA, see below)
- Scissors
- Your fingers!

To make your scarf you'll need three "ropes" in order to create the braids of your scarf. Make each one the same length, and make each one as long as you would like your scarf to be, plus an additional 6 inches or so to account for the braiding drawing it up a little. If you have never finger knit, check out this helpful video that will walk you through step by step:
When all three strands are completed, tie them together at one end with a knot and braid together. Tie at the other end.
When you are finished you can add a big fluffy pom pom to either end. I make pop poms by winding the yarn around my fingers. 25 times with all three strands held to make a multi colored pom pom. 75 times around fingers to make a solid colored pom pom. Here are two videos on how to make a pom pom (solid and multi).
Tie the pom poms to each end and trim tails...no need to weave in, they will blend in with the pom pom if they are cut the same length as the pom pom strands of yarn. All finished!

Happy crocheting lovelies!
