I was able to check out Ice Box Crochet by Wai Yee Ng, published by Leisure Arts (ISBN: 978-1-4647-0397-3).  I have been admiring its cover for a while, so I was very excited to be able to flip through and see all of the amazing crochet inside.  Ice Box Crochet features an adorable little refrigerator you can crochet and lots of tiny food to place inside!

The book is beautifully photographed in full color, capturing all of their lovely little details.  Check out the eggs below…they even fit into their container!

Everything from pretty produce, tiny eggs, sweet cupcakes, even a turkey!  In fact, there are over 45 items to crochet for your fridge.  Check out the delectable treats below, I think the doughnuts are my favorite:

The table of contents cleverly divides everything by category (much like a grocery store would!), making everything easy to find so you can get right to work on your favorites. There’s even a “shopping list” for the projects so you know exactly what you’ll need too. It is important to note that this book has plenty of explanation about materials, color choices, yarn substitutions, tutorials and more!

A very special thanks to Leisure Arts for sponsoring this giveaway!

We have a winner!  Thanks to everyone who entered!

  1. I think I might start with the fridge, and then work on the food pieces as my daughter request them for her dolls.

  2. Enjoyed your review as I have been eyeing this book for quite some time myself. Over the years, I have crocheted food items for my granddaughters to play with so I would probably tackle the ice box first if I had the book in hand.

  3. Awesome giveaway, I really hope I'm the lucky one 🙂 it would be perfect to come back to crochet 🙂 thank you so much for such a generous gift

  4. Love the spaghetti and meatballs, and the watermelon. I LOVE this book. I have a thing for crocheted food It all looks so good. Fingers crossed. Thanks for sharing.

  5. I would make every last thing in the book and give it to my nieces for Christmas. They are still young enough to play with dolls and would get a kick out of this.
