  1. I make mostly loom knit hats for chemo patients and the only yarn I use for these hats is Caron Simply Soft. I've used every color and also the ombre shades. I recently made a hat for a 24 year old cancer patient (friend of the family) that just lost all his hair and he said he absolutely loves the hat because it is so soft. He never takes it off. I was asked to make a second one to use when he has to take the first one off to have it washed. I would recommend this yarn to anyone who is looking for a nice soft yarn. I liked you video very much. You covered all the important points about the yarn. It's always nice to have as much information as you can on products you are using.

  2. I love Simply Soft. I am wondering what you think of the Hobby Lobby equivalent. The colors are so vibrant but I have read some bad reviews on it.

  3. I have a question about the washing of yarn. I have a cat that mistook my yarn bag for his litter box. Is there any way of removing the urine and the scent (without a massive ball of knotted yarn) or do I consider it a total loss. I'm sure it's a loss, but I have searched the internet for answers and have found little to none.

    1. Oh no! I would try soaking the piece in equal parts water and white vinegar and see if that helps. Vinegar is gentler than some detergents but it removes odors and such really well. Good luck!

  4. Just finished a baby blanket with this simply soft. Came out exactly How I hoped it would. Nice and soft but also machine washable for all the Spit ups!

  5. I agree that Simply Soft is pretty and soft. But it doesn't hold up well to washing and drying. I no longer use it for baby items, for example, because of that. Also, even though it's graded as a #4 (worsted) weight, it is actually a bit thinner than other 4s. So you have to be careful about combining it with other yarn, and, as always, check gauge, even in a pattern you've made before if you made it with a different yarn.

  6. I, too, make chemo hats, but I crochet mine and I,also, use mainly Caron Simple Soft. I haver used all the usual shades plus the ombres and the party line, all go over real well.
