I was recently able to review the gorgeous book Classic Crochet Blankets (Interweave/F+W ISBN: 9781632503596) and it was so much fun to flip through. Inside are 18 beautiful blankets that are photographed in full color and include full crochet charts. For beginners there is a tutorial, symbols, and abbreviations section too!
Note: I was given a review copy for this book but was not financially compensated. All opinions are my own.
I love the variety of blankets too, there are very colorful and more neutral choices, plus traditional grannies and hexagons, lacy motifs, and more solid geometric options as well. Also of note is a really great edgings section at the end so you can customize your own blanket if you like too!

The blanket below, the "Happy Hexagons Throw" is a classic design that is so cheerful and completely timeless. A perfect way to use all of extra yarn you may have on hand too!

Another blanket that caught my eye is the "Hialeah Honey Blanket" with so many lovely stitches in one blanket. This blanket is worked up in lighter yarn so it has a fabulous drape.

The "Urchins & Limpets Blanket" gives a nod to sea urchins and shells and I absolutely love the neutral motifs against the colorful motifs. This is such a beautifully textured project and one that makes a bold statement too!
