Briar Rose Crochet Blanket

The Briar Rose Crochet Blanket is a gorgeous lacy blanket that is easy to stitch up. Tonal ombre yarn shows off the stitches beautifully and allows for gradient color changes without having to use different balls of yarn. I made mine in a baby size, but the blanket is easy to customize the size. Check out the instructions for multiples and the chart below to get the exact size you need!

  1. Love the blanket! I have a question: in the instructions you say "Ch 107 (multiple of 4+3) then the next line says Ch 7". Do we ch 107 or do we ch 107 + 7? I was not sure.

    1. I am not the designer, but it seems to me that being a 4 + 3 multiple, it would have to be 107. Because 4 X 25 is 100, then plus 7 would make it 107. If I am incorrect, Jennifer, please correct me. I just don't see any other way it could be.

  2. I had to start this pattern immediately over the weekend! I am using Sweet Roll in 3 shades of lavender, yarn I already had. The shades of lavender are so similar to each other that it is giving the same tonal effect as your Red Heart Super Saver Ombre. It's working up super-fast!

  4. Thank you for explicit, easy to follow instructions. I expect to make the Briar Rose blanket for babies and will also make the Baby Blanket/Playmat. I didn't realize how easy it is to make a rose and leaf. Yes, you can teach an old dog new tricks.

  5. Love your work. The problem is I would like to print the patterns for making a blanket but they don't print nice. The side advertising prints over the pattern. Can you fix this ? Thank You
