I have a fabulous review & giveaway for you today lovelies! I was recently able to check out Classic Knit Shawls from the Editors at Interweave (ISBN: 978-1-63250-600-9, Interweave F+W).

Inside are 20 stunning shawls and wraps in a variety of shapes like traditional triangles, semicircles, crescents, and wraps worked from side to side.  Shawls can be a fantastic portable project and are perfect if you'd like to try out a new technique too.  In addition, shawls don't need much involved sizing making them perfect for giving as gifts too!  Each project from the book is unique and beautiful with lots of pretty texture to layer your look.

Classic Knit Shawls is beautifully photographed in full color and complete with easy to navigate charts, guides, and diagrams to make things extra helpful. This book is full of different techniques like lace, cables, and colorwork too! The yarn used to make each project is as varied as the techniques with slightly chunkier fibers to delicate light lace weight pieces.

Be sure to check out the learning resources in the back with an illustrated techniques section, a guide to abbreviations, and a very handy metric conversion chart too. Classic Knit Shawls will help you along each step of the way to make your own shawl look amazing!

One of my absolute favorite projects from the book would definitely have to be this lacy, golden color wrap...so elegant and gorgeous!

  15. That lacy teal shawl is beautiful! Lots and lots of yarn overs, so I'll probably need a lifeline. The orange shawl with the interesting surface design also intrigues me.
