Materials:

  • 6.5 mm “K” crochet hook
  • 1 Ball of Red Heart With Love in the “Parade” (Note: I didn’t use the whole ball of yarn, you will definitely be able to make several from one ball!)
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Elastic
  • Scissors

  • 13 inches long (before seaming)

Instructions:

Ch 12, join in the furthest chain with a slip stitch to create a ring.

Round 1: Ch 1, then work a sc into each ch.  Join to close round with a slip stitch.

Round 2: Ch 1, then work a sc into each stitch.  Join to close round with a slip stitch.

Repeat round 2 until piece measures about 13 inches from beginning.  For a bigger or “slouchier” scrunchie, make it a little taller.

Cut elastic the length of your crochet tube.  Slide it through the tube.  Scrunch the crochet tube down and tie the elastic.  Seam the ends of the tube together and weave in ends.  All finished!
