Learn To Crochet Series for NatCroMo!

Happy Friday and happy first day of March lovelies!  I am super excited to announce a new series happening on Fiber Flux this month.  As you may know, March is NatCroMo, or National Crochet Month...how exciting is that?!?

Each year I celebrate a little differently and this year I'm Launching a Learn To Crochet series on the blog and channel.  Every Monday during the month of March, there will be a new and easy project to learn to crochet.  We'll start with the super basics and build our skills from there.  By the time April rolls around, you'll have 4 awesome pieces made and a ton of crochet skills in your pocket...yay!

Check out the schedule here:

Already a seasoned crochet veteran?  No worries, all 4 projects are perfect for relaxation during crochet time!  All you need to crochet with us is a K (6.0 mm) crochet hook and some yarn that recommends the K hook (check your yarn labels if you're not sure).  I'll be using Red Heart Dreamy, and Red heart With Love is also a fabulous choice too!

Be sure to watch my launch video for all of the details:

Here's what we'll be making:

  • Week 1: Scarf with fringe
  • Week 2: Cowl in the round
  • Week 3: Ribbed pom pom hat
  • Week 4: Striped tassel throw

So, by the time you've completed the series with me, here are the skills we'll be covering:

  • Crocheting flat
  • Crochet in the round
  • Easy ribbing
  • Basic Stitches (sc, dc, hdc, tr, dtr)
  • Changing colors and/or yarn ball
  • How to make a tassel
  • How to make a pom pom
  • How to add fringe to a piece

That's a lot of new and exciting things to learn!  I hope you can join us!  I will be sharing on social media as we go along, plus at the Fiber Flux Ravelry group too...

We have a special group for us on Ravelry, the "Fiber Flux CAL Group" There is a welcome area, so please hop on and introduce yourself. You can get info, ask questions, help each other, see what everyone is doing, and show off your work too!
