Hello lovelies! Easter is less than a week away and I have a quick and fun little project you can whip up to jazz up some plain plastic eggs! Yarn wrapped eggs are pretty, easy to make and a great way to use up yarn leftovers too! In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to make a basic yarn wrapped egg, add a hanging loop for a garland or egg tree, and how to add embellishments too!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Plastic or wood eggs (I used plastic, they are cheap, easy to find, and I always seem to have a million of them)
- Hot glue, tacky glue, or glue of your choice
- Red Heart Smoothie Cotton Yarn in “Bright Pink” “Lemony” “Lime” and “Aqua” or colors of your choice
- Scissors
- Embellishments such as buttons, sequins, ribbon, etc. (optional-only if you want to decorate them)
