Boho Beachy Head Scarf, Free Crochet Pattern + Video

The Beachy Boho Head Scarf is a lovely lightweight crochet accessory that is versatile too!  It can be worn wrapped around the head for an elegant statement or around the neck to bring a little sparkle to an outfit.  Crocheted in delicate sparkly thread and finished off with long, fabulous beaded fringe, this will be at the top of your warm weather projects list!

Need a little help? There's a full video tutorial below too!

  • 1 ball of Croquette by Red Heart Yarns in the "Tidepool" colorway (note: I did not use the full ball)

  • Fringe adds 10 inches to either side

Abbreviations and Tutorial Links:

Instructions:

Ch 18

Row 1: In the 4th ch from the hook, work a dc.  Work a dc in the next ch.  In the next ch, work *(1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc).  Skip the next ch, work a dc in each of the next two ch.  Repeat from * across, then 1 dc in the last ch.

Row 2: Ch 5 and turn.  Work *(3 dc, ch 3, 1 dc) in the ch 3 space from the previous row.  Repeat from * across.  Work 3 dc in the top ch of the turning chain.

Repeat row 2 until piece is  inches long or desired length.

Finishing:

Add fringe to either end of the piece and add beads if you like.  I made my fringe about 10 inches long.  If you've never made fringe before, check out the video where I walk it through stitch by stitch!

Weave in all ends with a tapestry needle and you're finished!
