2020 Fiber Flux Charity Challenge!

Hello lovelies!  I have a fun and exciting project to share with you today…our annual charity CAL Challenge!

On my own, I normally do charity projects throughout the year…hats, shawls, etc. and send them off for donation.  I thought it would be fun and meaningful to share these types of projects by focusing on a particular charity or area of need AND do it as a community…so who’s with me?!

Check out my video for more info about this special project:

So this year I am committing to making 12 scarves in 2020 (one per month) and I want to challenge you to do the same too!  Do you have a pile of them just waiting to go somewhere?  Or perhaps you’d like to use some of your yarn stash for a great cause?  I will be donating mine locally, and you can search in internet for organizations near and far that will take the scarves…there are so many, choose one that speaks to your heart.

Be sure to check out the big roundup below of all of the easy and beautiful scarves you can make for this challenge…knit, crochet, finger crochet, and even an arm knit one!  Click the link below the photo of each one to get to the FREE pattern + video tutorial…happy making!

  1. A WONDERFUL charity is THE SHEEPFOLD. ALL DONATIONS ARE FULLY TAX DEDUCTIBLE! Clothing happily and gratefully accepted too! They rescue women and children from abusive homes; give them a safe and loving Christian group home (there are several) where they live happily, safely, are educated in the Lord and trained for good jobs. The women and children get their spirits and bodies healed as they learn new better behaviors to make better choices for themselves and their children. The "safe-houses" remain unknown even to the donors for the protection of the women and children. The Bible says to help "widows and orphans" and these broken families fit the bill. I pray this will help those in need or even some of your followers.

  2. What a wonderful project. My charity is toys for kids for Christmas. Mostly doll clothes. I wish you well on your project.

  3. Thank you, Jennifer for sharing all your lovely patterns again. My favorite is the "easy-peasy" mulberry scarf, crocheted in a sparkly yarn. I have made quite a few,and donated them to my aunt's nursing home, gift shop. The residents were able to purchase a pretty scarf, for 3 dollars each. They didn't last too long!
