Welcome to the 2020 Fiber Flux Summer Crochet Along...hooray! Today is week 3 of the CAL and we're working on the lovely Comforts of Home Wrap! This project is a unique wrap that can be worn lots of fun ways!
Here's what we'll be doing today:
- Finishing off the wrap construction.
- Weaving in ends.
- Adding an optional tassel.
The CAL will be divided over the next few weeks, so we'll tackle each part bit by bit. Scroll down for the schedule with actual dates and what we'll be doing on each day/week.
Check out this week's video here:
*This is a self-paced project, so definitely go at the speed you feel most comfortable. The instructional videos and posts will be up forever and you will always be able to go back and watch again and again!
Today we'll be finishing up our wrap, weaving in the ends and adding a tassel (optional):
- To make the tassel as shown, Cute two pieces of yarn, each about 8-10 inches long.
- If you have used up all of your yarn, you can use a different yarn in a matching color for the tassel too.
- Wrap yarn around your hand about 19 or so times around all four fingers.
- Carefully slide the yarn bundle off of your hand.
- Take the first strand of yarn you cut and tie at the top of the bundle.
- Take the second strand and tie around the top of the bundle towards the top.
- Cut all bottom loops.
- Trim bottom fringe straight across.
- Add tassel to bottom point of wrap. I used a tapestry needle to add the tassel.
