Orange Dream Wrap, Free Crochet Pattern + Video

The Orange Dream Wrap is a luxurious, beautifully textured wrap that is a breeze to make.  Alternating puff and V stitches give the wrap an elegant look and it is a fabulous piece for the changing season!

Materials:

  • 6.5 mm K crochet hook 
  • Approximately 550 yards of any DK weight yarn (I used Vidalana Aloft from KnitCrate in “Tiger Lily”) If you need to substitute yarn, look for a DK weight yarn.
  • Tapestry needle 
  • Scissors 
  • Tape measure

Finished Sizing:

  • 11 inches wide
  • 60 inches long

Instructions:

(Multiple of 6+5)

Note: To make a puff stitch, wrap yarn around hook, bring up a loop (3 loops on the hook), wrap yarn around hook again and bring up a loop (5 loops on the hook), wrap yarn around hook and bring up a loop (7 loops on the hook).  Wrap yarn around hook one last time and bring it through all 7 loops on the hook.  Close stitch with a chain 1.

Row 1: Chain 53. (dc, ch 1, dc) in the fourth ch from the hook. *Skip 2 ch, work a puff st in the next ch, skip 2 ch, work (dc, ch 1, dc) in the next ch, rpt from * across until one ch left on the row.  Work a dc into the last ch.


Row 2: Ch 3 and turn. Work a puff stitch into the first v stitch from the previous row (ch 1 space), Work a v stitch in the ch 1 at the top of the puff st from the previous row. Rpt from * across, then work a dc into the turning chain space.

Row 3: Ch 3 and turn. Work a v stitch into the top chain of the first puff stitch from the previous row. Work a puff stitch into the v stitch (ch 1 space) from the previous row. Rpt from * across, then work a dc into the turning chain space.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until wrap measures approximately 60 inches or desired length. Fasten off and weave in any ends that remain.
