Welcome to the 2020 Fiber Flux Fall Crochet Along…hooray! Today is week 3 of the CAL and we’re working on the gorgeous Autumn Textures Blanket! This is a very easy and fabulously cozy blanket that is an amazing addition to your home for fall!
Here’s what we’ll be doing today:

Let’s talk about sizing…the blanket I made is a lap blanket or child/baby blanket size. It is perfect to fold in half once and drape along the top of a couch, which is just what I wanted! If you want a different size, we will go over multiples to get the exact size you need. Please note all sizing is approximate and can vary due to your personal tension, yarn substitutions and hook substitutions. The blanket as shown in the photos measures:
- 40 inches wide
- 46 inches tall
Here are some tips for the striping sequence and changing colors on your project:
- Blanket is a multiple of 3+2 in case you need to adjust the width.
- I used roughly one ball of each color before switching.
- Any yarn scrap leftovers can be used for a matching tassel at each corner (next week’s tutorial!)
- I worked 8 rows before switching to new color.
- Begin a new color on row three, this gives the best look/stitch definition of color.
Order of the color for my striping was:
- Slate
- Fisherman
- Mustard
- Pumpkin
- Then repeat each color stripe one more time.
