Giveaway! Enter To Win A Copy of The Power of Knitting!

I have a fun book review for you today stitchers!   I was recently able to check out The Power of Knitting by Loretta Napoleoni (ISBN: 978-0593087190, Penguin Random House).
Check out my video where I explore the book a little more!

The Power of Knitting is an interesting and thought provoking book on how knitting has evolved over time, how knitting fits into our current world, and how knitting can heal and transform.

One of my favorite things from the book are the beautiful, hand drawn illustrations throughout the book.  The full color sketches give the book a personal feel as you read along, which I feel nicely compliments the sentiment of the importance of making things with your hands.

I also really enjoyed learning more about the history of knitting and while I knew some some of the things I read about, there was a whole lot that I learned too...so interesting!

The book is hard bound is set up in chapters, even featuring a bonus pattern section in the back.  I normally read more technical "how to" types of craft books, so it was a real treat to take more of a deep dive into knitting and how it has been stitched into our society over time.
