Materials:

Sizing:
  • Top edge is about 54 inches across (not including tassels)
  • 20 inches along the bottom edge
  • 21 inches along each side
  • Each tassel is about 3.5 inches tall

Instructions:

Ch 53

Row 1: In the 5th ch from the hook work (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc). *Skip 3 ch, then work (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in the next ch. Repeat from * across.
Row 2: Ch 3 and turn. Work (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in each ch 1 space from the previous row (center of each double v). Work (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) into the turning chain space.
Repeat row 2 until the top edge of the wrap is about 52 inches across or desired size. Fasten off and weave in any ends that remain. Note: To make your wrap larger, simply work more rows of the pattern.

How to make the tassels:

If you would like to add tassels (optional), cut two pieces of yarn each about 12 inches long and set aside.  Wrap yarn around all four fingers 12 times.  Carefully slide the bundle off of your fingers and tie one of the pieces of yarn at the top.  Tie the second piece of yarn around the tassel about 1/4 of the way down the tassel.  Cut all loops off at the bottom and trim straight across.  Repeat once more for the other tassel.  Tie one at either end of the widest points of the wrap and weave in ends.
