Welcome to the 2022 Fiber Flux Holiday Crochet Along...hooray! Today marks week three of the CAL and we'll be working on crocheting the gorgeous waffle stitch pattern of the Merry & Bright Throw Pillows!
We will be going over a few things today to begin:
- Assembling all of the pillow parts
- Seaming your pillows together
- Completing the finish work
- Schedule of the CAL
- Where to connect with other makers

And now for this week, here's the tutorial on how to seam your pillows:

A quick review on sizing...the sizing as pictured is:
- Red pillow shown: 14 inches wide and 14 inches tall
- Green Pillow Shown: 12 inches wide and 12 inches tall
Ok let's get started!
For today's tutorial, you'll need your two pillow panels plus the pillow form, matching yarn, scissors, and the K crochet hook.
Begin by sandwiching two pillow panels together and tie yarn into the upper left corner of both panels. Chain 1, then work 3 single crochet into the corner space/stitch. *Work a sc into each stitch along the edges of both panels seaming them together, then work 4 sc into the corner. Repeat from * around the square until three sides have been completed.
Next, place the pillow form into the pouch you just created. Continue single crochet stitches along the rest of the way around the pillow, then fasten off. Weave any remaining tails with your tapestry needle.
