- 6.5 mm K crochet hook
- Super bulky/#6 weight yarn (The yarn shown is Honey Bunny from Hobbii in "Candy Floss" I used very small amounts of this yarn, only a few yards per hat)
- Tapestry Needle
- Scissors
- Tape measure
- Small piece of ribbon for a bow for base of ear (you can also add a button or gem too)
- 3 inches wide
- 4 inches tall
- 6.5 inch circumference
Instructions For Hat:
Ch 4, then join with a slip stitch in the chain furthest from the hook to make a ring.
Round 1: Ch 2, then work 7 hdc into the center of the ring. Join to close round with a slip stitch.
Round 2: Ch 2, then *work a hdc into the first stitch. Work 2 hdc into the next stitch. Repeat from * around. Join to close round with a slip stitch.
Round 3: Ch 2, then work a hdc into each stitch around. Join to close round with a slip stitch.
Fasten off and weave in ends, then move onto the ears section.
Instructions For Ears (Make 2):
Ch 6
Row 1: Work a sc into the 2nd chain from the hook. Work a sc into each chain across.
Row 2: Ch 1 and turn. Work a sc into the first stitch and in each stitch across. Fasten off leaving a tail for seaming the ears. Weave in the other tail that remains, when you do this, try to weave it through the top edge in an arc shape to give it a rounded bunny ear look.
Finishing:
Sew both ears onto top of hat using the tail. If you want, you can lightly glue a bow, button, or gem to the base of one ear for a little extra. Place on an egg and you're done!
