Welcome

Hello there and welcome to Fiber Flux, where we celebrate all things stitchy!  I’m so glad you stopped by!

I’m Jennifer, married to my best friend and the mom of two amazing kids. I am a fiber artist with a background in art history and fine art. Ever since I was a small child, I have had the need to make things. When I was in elementary school, I would make and sell handmade jewelry and was rarely seen without crayon or paintbrush in hand. Before discovering the joy of crocheting and knitting, I was an abstract painter and showed and sold my works in galleries, shows, and local coffee shops.

I especially enjoy making things for children, those I know and those in need. It makes my heart sing to give my time and hand stitched things to children and babies who need the comfort and warmth of something handmade. I aim to design patterns that are both fun and easy to make with easy and clear instruction and bright joyful colors.

When not up to my elbows in yarn, I enjoy walking my dog and volunteering. I am also a lifelong fan of art museums and love to soak in gorgeous art whenever possible. I am definitely an art nerd and if you let me, I’ll talk you ear off about all things art history!  I am most inspired by art and nature in my creative work. Thanks for stopping by!
