Ravellenic Games 2012: Project 1

Here's my first project for the Ravellenic Games 2012...I began these a while ago and have never finished them.

They are knitted in Debbie Bliss Rialto Aran weight wool on US 7 DPNs.  I have one mitten complete minus thumb and the beginnings of another right up to the thumb gusset.

While the yarn is one of the most buttery soft, squishiest stuff I have ever used, I will be sadly frogging them as part of the "frogging trampoline" event.  I have made these once more and they just feel too snug!  Perhaps I will re-knit them with a size 8 next time?

I love the simplicity of them and the soft wasabi green is so lovely, but it just didn't work out this time!  On to other things!

PS this is the "before" picture...when I get up the courage to pull them apart, I'll show you and "after" picture.  Is it odd I like to take pictures of and look at pictures of piles of unruly yarn? ;)
