To give any gift an extra special touch, make one of these sweet little tags to adorn a gift this season. The best part is that they can be hung on a tree as an ornament after the gift is opened too!
Stitchy Gift Tags

Sizing (Including edging):
- 3 inches wide
- 3.5 inches tall
Materials:
- Small amounts of yarn in colors of your choice
- H (5.0 mm) crochet hook
- Tapestry needle
- Ribbon
Instructions for a basic tag:
Ch 12
Sc in 2nd ch from hook, then sc in each ch across.
Ch 1 and turn
Work 1 sc in each sc space until piece measures about 2.5 inches across.
Note: if you want stripes like the tag shown above, work two rows of each color.
Edging:
With a contrasting color, tie on yarn and work 1 sc in each space around entire tag. Join with a sl st and fasten off.

I think the red heart is my favorite! To make a simple one-round heart for your tag, here's the pattern:
When you're all finished, you can hang your tag with a beautiful ribbon or a leftover piece of yarn. Just pull it through one of the holes or use your tapestry needle to pull it through.
