Maybe you’ve had this happen before, coming up to the very end of a project or row and you’re left with the tiniest tail ever! Not to worry! Even though it would be difficult to weave it in the conventional way, here is a super easy little trick that I use to weave in a very short yarn tail.
All you’ll need is a tapestry/yarn needle that you normally use and your project. Without threading the needle, insert the needle into the first few stitches of the project,
Next, thread the needle,
Pull it through,
Remove the needle from the yarn tail
If you’re out of yarn, trim the tail and you are finished…if you have a tiny bit more, run the needle in the other direction through a few stitches (without threading it),
Then thread the needle,
And pull through.
Trim and no more tail!

Isn't that the smartest thing! I have been crocheting for many years and that never occurred to me. Thank you for posting it.

Thank you sooooooo much ! I so needed this !
Yay! Happy to help. 🙂
Genius! What I really want to know is where those scissors are from?
Thank you so much! I got the scissors at a yarn shop while on a trip and haven't seen them since…they are my favorites though. 🙂
Yay! No more having to undo an entire row just to have a long enough tail to weave in!
Hooray for that! 🙂
Thank you so very much for your tip. It's very helpful. Also, where did you get your stork scissors. Just love the pattern on them.
