The Alpine Steps Crochet Square is a fun to crochet mitered square with an interesting corner detail. Multicolor stripes allow the stitches to really stand out as well.

I love the contemporary look of this square, and the colours are just gorgeous!
Thank you so much! I had lots of fun making it!
so many great granny squares! love the uniqueness of this alpine steps square!
Thanks so much! It has all been great fun…I think my favorite part is seeing all of the fun color combinations people come up with in the CAL!
I'm thinking the corner stitch and stripes would make a beautiful poncho, Just need to figure out how, any ideas?.
Hi! These are all beautiful patterns! I was able to find the patterns for 2 of them, but can't find the others. Can you help me please?
I am using this pattern to make a blanket for my niece. As I am going I am noticing it isn't quite a square. Where I am "working the corners" seems to stretch out farther than where you "work in the turning chain". Is this suppose to happen? I have watched the video multiple times and don't think I'm adding extra stitches but I am concerned I am doing something wrong.
