E-Book Review and Giveaway! Beginner's Guide To Crocodile Stitch by Lisa Gentry

Do you love the crocodile stitch? This beautiful and unique stitch is fun to do and adds lots of texture to your projects. The Beginner's Guide to Crocodile Stitch by Lisa Gentry (Leisure Arts, ISBN: 978-1464716515) is a great introduction, with fantastic full color photography, guiding you through learning the stitch one project at a time. While some may be intimidated by the complex appearance of the crocheted "scales," the book breaks it down with clear instruction and step by step images throughout. In fact, there's a series of bonus video tutorials too!

There are 8 projects contained in the book from a beautiful pillow, a cowl, and lots more! I think my favorite project would have to be the "Fanciful Mitts" below:

The book covers the supplies you'll need, plus in the back it's full of helpful information including gauge, yarn information, crochet terminology, and a breakdown of symbols and terms. Each project also is given a rating of beginner, easy, intermediate, and experienced. So, whether you're just starting with crochet, or are looking for something more challenging, there's something for everyone! Many are in the "easy" category, so if you're learning the stitch, there will be plenty to choose from.

    I love the crocodile stitch! Love the fingerless gloves. Kind of disappointed that I can't enter the giveaway since I do not use pinterest or social media.
