Totally Turkey Earrings, Free Crochet Pattern + Video

Materials:

3.5 mm E crochet hook
Embroidery floss in turkey body, head, and feathers (I used Dmc floss in light brown, dark brown for the body and head, and yellow, orange, red, and green for the four feathers)
Tape measure
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Earring posts with backs
Hot glue

Sizing:

1.5 inches wide
1 inch tall

Instructions for feathers (make 4 per turkey, 8 total):

Ch 4, join with a slip stitch to create a ring.

Round 1: In the center of the ring work (2 hdc, 2 sc, 1 dc, 2 sc). Join with a slip stitch to close round. Fasten off and weave in ends. Shape up a bit if needed.

Instructions for turkey body (make 2):

Ch 4, join with a slip stitch to create a ring.

Round 1: In the center of the ring work chain 3 then work 11 dc into the center of the ring. Join with a slip stitch to close round. Fasten off and weave in ends. Shape up a bit if needed.

Instructions for turkey head (make 2):

Ch 4, join with a slip stitch to create a ring.

Round 1: In the center of the ring work chain 3 then work 11 sc into the center of the ring. Join with a slip stitch to close round. Fasten off and weave in ends. Shape up a bit if needed.

Assembly & Finishing:

Add a bit of yellow for the beak and a bit of red for the wattle if you like to the bottom edge of the head. Glue turkey head to body, then fan feathers out and glue them to the top back edge of the body. Glue earring post to the back of the turkey. Let dry/cool completely before wearing. Repeat for other earring. Happy Thanksgiving!
